Un sogno che solo le grandi ONLUS si possono permettere di realizzare - A dream that only large non-profit can afford to make

Questo è un ufficio, un piccolo ufficio, praticamente un garage con due scrivanie di cui una traballante, due poltrone consunte e due sedie, niente elettricità, ma con una piccola grande nota di colore: un telefono color rosa ciclamino. 
Giovedì sono andata a Nateete a trovare Maria Bravo direttrice di SMOCSA e Solomè sua vice. In questo ufficio Maria ha dato il via ad una associazione che funziona e che si occupa di ragazze madri, hanno già aiutato più di 50 ragazze, le seguono in tutte le azioni, dall'abbandono della casa, al supporto emotivo psicologico, non che quello giuridico. Già, ma fanno tutto queste due donne, Maria e Solomè.
Ho chiesto loro se si fossero mai trovate davanti una situazione in cui la ragazza non avesse un posto dove andare a vivere, la risposta è sì e mi indicano la ragazzina che è con loro. Un nome difficile da ricordare, ha 18 anni con un bimbo di 3, buttata fuori di casa dal marito che le usava violenza e la famiglia non l'ha più rivoluta con sè. SI è trovata sola e in mezzo alla strada; sono Maria e Solomè che si occupano di lei. Poi mi raccontano di una latra ragazza che la famiglia non l'ha più accettata e lei si è rivolta alla sorella, ma la situazione non è delle migliori in quanto anche la sorella è sola e deve badare ai suoi bambini e nessuno ha i soldi per poter comprare del cibo.
Solomè mi dice anche " Abbiamo le foto di quando si riuniscono per condividere informazioni e idee. Questo viene fatto nelle loro comunità quando facciamo visita informale la sera. Ogni membro ha un file con testimonianze sul motivo per cui è una ragazza madre e il numero di bambini. Alcuni moduli compilati li abbiamo qui" , e me li mostra: quante ragazze abbandonate, quanta sofferenza e umiliazione che hanno subito o che continuano a subire L'età è compresa tra i 15 e i 30 anni con una media di due bambini 

Ecco la necessità di costruire una casa accoglienza.

Sembra facile: no, per loro è difficilissimo, non sono sovvenzionate da nessuno, l'ufficio se lo pagano loro e tengono lì le riunioni dove iniettano lezioni di fiducia e autostima a queste ragazze che non sanno più cosa fare della loro vita. Ragazze che sempre più spesso vengono usate per il solo piacere maschie e che poi, vengono buttate via come fossero spazzatura.

Ci siamo impegnate a far sì che il sogno diventi realtà, Maria e Solomè vogliono arrivare ad aiutare almeno 250 ragazze entro la fine del 2012. Io mi sono impegnata a fare ì che questa piccola ma importantissima associazione ottenga degli aiuti, che si riesca a comprare il terreno e costruire questa casa, dove le ragazze si possano sentire al sicuro coi loro figli, dove possano avere la possibilità di rifarsi una vita, magari terminando gli studi o trovandosi un lavoro e imparare ad essere autonome riacquistando la dignità perduta

Ce la faremo? Non lo so, davvero non lo so, ma so che non posso e non voglio lasciarle da sole; loro sono l'esempio tangibile che si può cambiare, sono l'esempio della forza e determinazione a dire basta a uomini immaturi e violenti, nella capacità di aggregare ragazze madri facendo il porta a porta, niente pubblicità via cavo o altro, vanno solo di piazza in piazza a dire che c'è un piccolo ufficio a cui si possono rivolgere e lì troveranno comprensione aiuto immediato e sopratutto, comprenderanno che non sono sole perchè tante altre sono come loro e insieme ce la possono fare.
Maria piccola ragazza madre di 2 anni che vive in un paesino alle porte di Kampala, sta cambaindo la vita a delle ragazze spaventate, sta rendendo a loro la fiducia che la vita vale la pena di essere vissuta per se stesse e per i loro piccoli.
La prossima settimana sono stata invitata ad una riunione, dove le ragazze racconteranno le loro storie e le loro rinascite (non per tutte).
Oggi sono felice perchè ho visto cosa può fare una piccola donna in un Africa a volte impossibile.
Maria un esempio per me, Maria che non molla, Maria che che ha un sogno, Maria che ha bisogno di aiuto per realizzarlo. Smettiamola di  sempre solo i soldi ad associazioni super conosciute  e che hanno aiuti praticamente da tutti, per una volta, una sola volta, cerchiamo di aiutare chi davvero non ha voce e fa un lavoro straordinariamente grande e che, solo pochi farebbero davvero.
